Why work with me?

I’m a career marketer more interested in serving people than companies.

I love a human story, figuring out how decisions shape lives through work, and helping others chart their path through an increasingly chaotic world.

I discovered this passion for career strategy via my volunteer work for the Growclass marketing community. After community members started coming to me for help (with some fantastic results), I pursued a Career Strategist certification through the Career Professionals of Canada and logged hundreds of practice hours.

The same skills needed to launch a company or run a successful marketing campaign? I put them to work for your next big challenge.

Here are three ways I can help.

The Alignment Check

In this complementary 15-minute call, I’ll ask about your career to date, background and goals. You can ask me about my track record, skills, and approach to your challenge, along with anything else that’s on your mind.

If you decide to work with me, we’ll both do so with confidence that we’re a good fit.

What to expect:

  • I’ll ask for your current LinkedIn profile or resume package.
  • We’ll explore your specific challenges and how I’ve helped folks in comparable circumstances.
  • You can decide whether to continue—there’s no charge for this discussion.

The One-Off

Sometimes, you need a sounding board, a sanity check, or some combination of the two.

Maybe you’ve got a sticky reporting situation or you’re negotiating a salary with a new employer. You might be stuck in a job search or struggling to make connections in a new city.

Sometimes, clients tell me they’re stuck in the mirror prison of self-doubt, unable to accurately see and own their achievements. I offer a one-hour call for exactly this kind of situation.

What to expect:

  • I’ll ask for your current LinkedIn profile and current resume package.
  • We’ll discuss your background, goals and challenges in depth.
  • By the end of the call, you’ll have a clear plan for next steps.
  • After the call, I’ll send my notes outlining the context of our discussion and your action items.

Calling the Lightning: We'll go together

This package works best for people who want a series of semi-regular check-ins. You may want career coaching as you take on a new leadership role, navigate an interview process, stay motivated in a long job search, or get outside eyes as you start something new.

In three one-hour calls, we’ll lay out actions to propel your career forward. I’ll ask follow-up questions about your action items and help you hold yourself accountable.

What to expect:

  • I’ll ask for your current LinkedIn profile and current resume package, along with other supporting materials ahead of the call (e.g., current portfolio, corporate goals, etc).
  • We’ll meet at your cadence. Generally, that’s once or twice a month so you have time to take action between calls.
  • We’ll develop a clear plan with next steps. After each call, I’ll send my notes outlining both the context of our discussion and your action items.
  • You’ll get a discounted rate for booking three calls together. I’ll bill you after the first call.

Helping people level-up their lives is the most satisfying work I’ve ever done. Through Growclass, I’ve also seen this transformation happen at scale.

What career clients say

As an entrepreneur there’s a lot of things that I want to do, but not a lot of things that I actually need to do. Elizabeth helped me unload all of the tasks that had been flying through my brain, put it on a board, link them to my revenue goals, and ultimately helped me decide what I should be prioritizing as a result. Much as I would like to do everything, she helped me figure out what I really needed to be doing. It was a magical afternoon that set me up for success for the entire year
Elizabeth changed my life when she introduced me to a friend of hers who was hiring a social content specialist. It was the job of my dreams. When Mr. Rogers said to look for the helpers, I think he was talking about Elizabeth.
Elizabeth combines critical thinking, strategy and communication across teams to get things done effectively and quickly. Though I was not a direct report to Elizabeth, she went above and beyond to mentor me. Working with her has helped me think about how my Product Design work can tie into marketing strategies, and ways that I can improve my communication skills. It is extremely rewarding to work collaboratively with someone like Elizabeth, who demonstrates openness, integrity and hard work in everything she does.
Empathy, insight and actionable tips are what I gained from working with Elizabeth as a Growclass career coach. Elizabeth meets her clients with kind, empowering words of wisdom and roots for you every step of the way. She is very generous with her time, supports you long-term, leads with curiosity and holds you accountable to making your next chapter amazing. I am so happy to have connected with her so if you're debating working with her, I can't recommend her enough!
Elizabeth was one of the first people to give me feedback for my podcast and has continued to show up for it consistently. In turn, it reminds me how much it matters to tell people you appreciate their work because it makes a lonely effort feel worth it
Something that inspires me the most about Elizabeth is her ability to empathize. She has a way with words (duh) that makes people feel instantly welcomed and warm.

If You’re on a Lean Budget

If you’re concerned about cost, let me know. I have a sliding scale and three 30-minute slots per month to work with folks who may be between jobs and/or on a tight budget. Priority for these sessions goes to women and non-binary folks from diverse backgrounds at my discretion. Past clients will tell you that I talk fast and we can cover a lot of ground in a short period!

Whether you're seeking your first breakthrough position or making a career transition, levelling up can be tough.

I'll meet you where you are and help you get the tools you need to succeed.
